Inverted Fenland Jug

Sale Price:£75.00 Original Price:£110.00
sale

This jug was hand-thrown on the wheel in a white stoneware. The inverted, pulled handle and frill neck are a take on the experience on the ‘polder-blindness’ and general disorientation brought on by the extreme flatness of the Fenlands. A slow cooling cycle was used to bring out the dramatic, gold crystallisation around the base of the pot. It holds approximately 500ml and is fully functional and dishwasher-safe but, as with all handmade ceramics, handwashing is advised to protect it from general wear and tear.

Dimensions: 13cm H x 16cm W

All measurements in centimetres and approximate to a few millimetres. Width is usually from widest point.

Photographs have been taken in studio and/or natural light with a Nikon D3200 and have no colour editing. Colours may appear slightly different from the actual piece depending on screen and lighting differences.
